A communication device with the object of discrete input-output signals of the USO DVV

1. Purpose

1.1 Device for connection with the object of discrete input-output signals (USO DBB), hereinafter USO DBB or a device intended for removing states from sixteen
discrete sensors of the «dry contact» type (polling voltage = 24/220 V), outputting eight discrete pulse power signals with voltage switching (~220B/250 mA or
= 220V/350 mA) by pairs of normally open contacts, data exchange via a serial digital communication channel (physical RS-485 interface) in the protocol
Modbus (RTU) and network (Ethernet) in the IEC60870-5-104 protocol.
1.2 The main application is a local node for the construction of distributed collection and control complexes at power facilities, with installation in cabinets of clamps on open
distribution devices (GRP) of substations.

2. Basic technical characteristics
2.1 Characteristics of input discrete channels of telesignaling (MS):
— 16 inputs of the «dry contact» type and one common (supplied minus 24/220 V internal
switching voltages)
— survey voltage = 24/220, current through a pair of closed contacts no more than 2.0 mA (in
pulse mode for = 220 V);
— individual galvanic isolation by channels at breakdown voltage up to
1.5 kV;
— polling frequency of discrete inputs – 1 ms;
— the possibility of setting the contact «rattling» time value for all channels
ranges from 5 to 100 ms;
— LED indication of closed positions of discrete inputs;
— External connections through screw connectors.
2.2 Characteristics of the output discrete channels of remote control (TU):
— the number of output channels of two-position commands TU — 4;
− outputs — normally open contacts of solid-state electronic relays;
— type of switching — two-stage (first stage — one general power
electronic key, the second — 8 solid-state electronic relays);
− switching voltage 220 (± 20%) B alternating or direct current,
respectively, with a load current of up to 250 mA and up to 350 mA;
− galvanic isolation of each of the channels at a breakdown voltage of up to 1.5 kV;
— the possibility of setting the duration of the pulse signal at the output in the range from 0.1
up to 5;
— possibility of operation of each of the outputs of eight channels in static mode
states are closed/open with memorization of their state after the temporary one
abnormal power outage of USO DVV;
— diagnostics of power output relays (control of general relay serviceability and
individual relays), control of the presence of an external load;
— electronic protection against «short circuit» current
— LED indication of the closed position of the individual output relay.
Note — Only one TU command is executed at a time. At
the arrival of the next command before the execution of the previous one is completed, it is ignored.
2.3 Characteristics of communication channels
2.3.1 USO DBB provides data exchange with external devices via three communication channels with physical Ethernet (electrical/optical), USB and RS-485 interfaces.
2.3.2 The first communication channel is network computing and provides data exchange either by twisted pair cable (Ethernet 10/100 BASE-TX) or fiber optic.
communication lines (10/100 BASE-FX). Exchange protocol — IEC60870-5-104. It is used to exchange data with upper management level devices.
2.3.3 The second communication channel supports data exchange via the USB 2.0 interface and is technological. Used to connect a personal computer,
installed service software, when configuring and diagnosing the operation of the device.
2.3.4 The third communication channel supports data exchange via the RS485 physical interface. Exchange protocol — Modbus (RTU), mode — «master»/»slave». Exchange rate in
standard range from 9.6 to 57.6 kbaud. It is used for local connection in the «master» mode, a digital measuring transducer of the MTE type for collection
values of analog electrical parameters and «slave» mode — when group connection of devices to an information highway with an RS-485 interface. In this
in this case, one of the devices in the group works in the «master» mode to collect data with the rest.
2.3.5 The configuration of the built-in software of the USO DBB for specific operating conditions at the facility is performed using a service program,
which is installed on a technological computer
2.4 Characteristics of a constructive solution
2.4.1 USO DVV is made in the form of an electronic unit mounted on a two-layer printed circuit board, which is installed in a metal case with an external screw
mounting on a flat surface. The degree of mechanical protection is IP54.
2.4.2 The feeding of external cables is carried out under the screw through hermetic seals installed on the case.
2.4.3 Overall dimensions of the case — 200x150x55±1 mm. The weight is a little more than 1.5 kg.
3. Operating characteristics
3.1 Power supply of USO DBB is carried out from a voltage source of 220(±20%) alternating or direct current. Power consumed no more than 5 W (20 mA)
3.2 Operating temperature range from minus 40 to 60 ºС.
3.3 Relative air humidity % 85 at a temperature of 35 °C.
3.4 External uniform alternating magnetic field of frequency 45…65 Hz, intensity A/m, no more than 60.
